Eric Foss

Eric  has  worked  in  the  racing  industry  as  a  driver  and  instructor  for  over  18  years,  representing  sponsors  in  an  experienced  and   inspiring  manner.     Throughout  his  long  career  in  the  industry,  Eric  has  interacted  with  sponsors␣␣clients  through  professional   instruction,  private  racing  chats  and  large  group  appearances.   In  addition  to  working  closely  with  sponsors,  Eric  has  influenced   fellow  drivers  and  inspired  fans  through  his  reputation,  attitude,  racing  records  and  recent  championship.

 

2011:  Competed  in  SCCA  World-­Challenge  GTS  (Ford  Mustang  FR500S)  with  two  poles,  two  wins  and  second  in  the  Championship.   Mazda  Factory  Driver  in  Grand  Am  Continental  Sports  Car  Challenge,  qualified  on  pole  and  finished  on  the  podium.  Contributed   to  Mazda  winning  the  Manufacturers  Championship

2010:  Mazda  Factory  Driver  for  two  races  with  Freedom  Autosport  in  the  Continental  Challenge  series,  qualifying  2nd  and  3rd.

2009:  World  Challenge  Rookie  of  the  year  in  Touring  Car  driving  for  Tri-­Point  Motorsports  (Factory  Mazda  team)  with  two  poles.

2008:  SCCA  Pro  Racing  Playboy  Mazda  MX-­5  Cup  Series  Champion  with  4  poles,  2  wins  and  8  top  four  finishes.

2008:  SCCA  National  Champion  in  Spec  Miata  Competed  in  four  SCCA  Nationals  in  Spec  Miata  resulting  in  3  poles  and  4  wins.   Competed  at  the  SCCA  National  Runoffs  in  Spec  Miata,  Qualified  on  pole  and  won  the  race.

2007:  Competed  in  SCCA  Nationals,  entering  6  events  with  3  poles,  2  wins  and  3  seconds.  Competed  in  one  Pro  MX-­5  Cup  race   qualifying  on  pole  and  finishing  third.

2006:  Competed  in  SCCA  Nationals,  qualified  on  pole  in  first  Spec  Miata  National  race.  Entered  8  events  with  1  win,  4  seconds,   1  fourth  and  a  fifth  at  the  National  Championship  Runoffs.

2005:  Coached  and  co-­drove  with  drivers  in  SCCA.  Set  track  record  by  2  seconds  at  Road  Atlanta  in  SSC  Mini  Cooper  S  in  SCCA   event.  Completed  build  of  SCCA  Spec  Miata,  winning  first  event  entered.

2004:  Coached  and  co-­drove  with  drivers  in  SCCA  (Spec  Miata),  including  the  ARRC  (qualified  3rd)

2003:  Competed  in  1  SCCA  Regional  event  finishing  first  (set  fastest  race  lap).

2002:   Competed   in   1   SCCA   Regional   event   qualifying   on   pole   and   finished   first   (Set   track   record,   first   race   in   Spec   Miata).   Competed  in  one  Mid  West  Council  event  qualifying  on  pole  and  finished  second  (set  fastest  race  lap).
